Car and coach parking

We don't have visitor parking at the Engine Shed, but car and coach drivers can use the public car park 350m away for a small charge. More than 20 accessible parking bays are available. There are electric charging points.

Additionally, there are two accessible parking spaces offering free parking for Blue Badge holders. these are located to the west of the building, along the road running parallel to the train station.

Approach to site

The Engine Shed is 350m from Forthside car park, along tarmac paths with some raised kerbs.

Visitors arriving from Stirling train station will first cross a bridge that has a lift at either end to allow step-free access. The route to the Engine Shed is then about 150m long, on level pavements with dropped kerb crossings.

Visitor centre

The Engine Shed entrance and its interior are on the level. There is an induction loop in the reception area and theatre.

There is a fully accessible toilet near to the reception area.
